Challenged by the client to create the hospital of the future, this 780,000-sq. ft. state-of-the-art private hospital blends world-class technology and advanced medical expertise with hospitality-focused patient care to support optimal healing and recuperation. From its architectural design and interior furnishings to its staff uniforms, inpatient meals and impeccable customer service, MENH exudes the assurance and finesse of a five-star hotel, while providing the utmost quality in professional patient care, and reflecting the mission and values of the client.
Luminous onyx at the entry lobby sets a luxurious tone as staff members confirm appointments, provide concierge assistance and escort patients to their destination. Modulated lighting throughout the facility distinguishes this project from standard clinical environments, which tend to be uniformly, and overly, bright. With abundant daylight in patient and staff spaces, and reduced illumination in transition areas, the setting is reminiscent of an upscale urban resort.
The warm ambiance continues throughout the building, balancing professionalism with a calming, sophisticated atmosphere. All 312 patient rooms are private, featuring custom furnishings to establish a feeling of well-appointed efficiency. Floor-to-ceiling windows maximize the healing power of natural light, while terraces and rooftop gardens contribute to the nurturing environment. The unique canted room design enables patients to enjoy greater access to views while facilitating efficient monitoring of patients by clinical staff.
This hospital sets a benchmark in sustainability, earning Green Mark Platinum certification from Singapore's Building & Construction Authority for its eco-friendly features, including roof gardens and integrated photo-voltaic green technology.
